In addition to playing music, Ella is passionate about painting the world around her. As a teenager in Nelson, BC, Ella studied with acclaimed painters Deb Thompson and Kristy Gordon, and then took a painting class at the Vancouver Island School of Art. Ella primarily paints the places, people and animals of her daily life, which currently revolves around her music scene. Her paintings of the natural world are shaped by her experience of growing up in a small mountain town.
